Statutory instruments have been amended which mean that the scheme which allows employers to reclaim up to two weeks’ Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) paid to employees for Coronavirus related absences will end on 30 September 2021 (subject to the employee being on the RTI at March 19 2020) . Employers will have until 31 December 2021 to make claims relating to periods prior to the date the scheme closes.
