As we continue to wade our way through working and this pandemic and hopefully getting to some sort of resemblance of normality, we thought we would take this opportunity to share with you some useful information from the ICO. We appreciate that there is a lot of information out there however, we thought we would select three prominent and current data protection areas and consolidate these into one place for our readers.

The first link I have selected sends you to General Guidance detailing Data protection and coronavirus – what you need to know

https://ico.org.uk/global/data-protection-and-coronavirus-information-hub/data-protection-and-coronavirus/

This second link sends you to more specifically to information regarding coronavirus testing in the workplace so is relevant to those businesses looking to bring employees back into the workplace where working from home is not an option.

This final link provides information on data protection and working from home and what measures you should be putting in place. As working from home is looking less like a short term stop gap now and more of a protracted arrangement, employers need to consider whether their current measures are sufficient to meet the requirements of the Regulations. If you haven’t already got a homeworking policy in place please either contact your allocated Absolute Works HR support who will be able to assist with this OR call us immediately on 01926 355560. Alternatively please get in touch using the contact us page.
